Hike and Fly in Alberta

 
 
 

It’s an activity that grows in popularity every year! Whether you have ultralight X-Alps style gear or enough gumption to carry your 40lb pack up a mountain, you’ll find that Alberta has much to offer for the aspiring hike-and-flyer. New sites have been trailblazed in recent years, and with new access to federal parks and potential future access to provincial parks (fingers crossed!) there are sure to be many more.

The most commonly flown sites are Prairie Mountain, Mesa Butte, and Canmore.
